July 7th, 2011, now completed three days ‘audio tour’ voice recording for SPRI (Scott Polar Research Institute), Cambridge.
Many thanks to Julio d’Escrivan for the recommendation and to Kay Smith, the museum’s project manager, for making the recording at Zigzag.
The audio tour will feature the voices of actors Colin Lawrence, Guy Holmes, Julian Cooper, Martin Woodruf, Ken Eason, Barry Brown, Richard Peoples and the highly articulate people at the institute, with their compelling and entertaining deliveries, directed ‘conversationally’ by Guy Wilson of Past Master. The audio tour, to be assembled by Guy Wilson, is scheduled for completion in September 2011 and promises to convey much fascinating information with the relaxed enthusiasm of a ‘podcast’.
In a recent article, The Scott Expedition published in The Telegraph on 21st June 2011, SPRI is described “as the expedition’s greatest scientific legacy …founded in 1920 by Frank Debenham and Raymond Priestley, distinguished scientists who were in Scott’s party”.
